Working at PICHLER
projects

There are two key aspects when it comes to PICHLER projects: the first is the collegial aspect which ensures that the skills of each individual are valued, departments and visions are united, and everyone is treated equally in order to strengthen cohesion within the company. The second is the international aspect, characterised by cosmopolitan, flexible and cross-disciplinary visions, the joy of experimentation, and the never-ending search for new competencies and skill sets.

In this environment, where production and planning go hand in hand, growth is based on values such as transparency, balance, communication and flat hierarchies. This is where Hannes Market, who first started out in the workshop, acquired his craftsmanship skills. Today, he is Head of Technical Office at PICHLER projects and also manages the company's two production departments, which he coordinates along with the purchasing department.

Hannes learned a lot from his humble beginnings in the workshop: the possibility to constantly create something new, and the expert operation of all the equipment and machines involved in every facet that the world of steel has to offer. After 4 years of apprenticeship, he began working directly at the construction sites. Initially, this included only those in his native South Tyrol. Later, other great buildings in Italy and abroad were soon to follow. Those were intense years in which he worked his way up from installer to foreman.

„What does it take to be successful? Education and passion. I have learned a lot during the course of my life, but knowledge alone is not everything. It takes great passion to achieve great goals.“

„Teamwork and the appreciation of everyone's positive qualities were central factors in my successful personal and professional development.“

At the age of 20, Hannes received an offer from the company to train as a production technician. This gave Hannes the chance to think outside the box. He accepted the offer and completed the three-year, part-time training programme. Afterwards, he switched roles and joined the design and planning office at PICHLER projects. This was the start of completely new experiences very different from those at the construction site, where physical stamina mattered. The dress code was also different, so too was the amount of time he spent in front of the computer and at the drawing board.

His practical experience working at construction sites and in the workshop proved to be great assets for Hannes. As a technical draughtsman, he now benefited from a thorough understanding of the machinery and equipment, the production processes, and the logistical aspects that were most central to the success of a project designed by PICHLER projects. At Pichler, production and planning go hand in hand. As a result, everyone involved is encouraged to gain as much experience as possible in the various departments and at every stage of production and implementation.

„The Salewa project was an exciting undertaking that made us all very proud.“

The strength of PICHLER projects is in the cohesion of individual parts: Every project is the result of synergies between the different areas. Communication, transparency and responsibility form the foundation of this way of working. In this, the members of the PICHLER projects family play an active and operational role.

Having direct access to company management is important for everyone who works at PICHLER projects. Owing to these direct channels, everyone in the company has the opportunity to develop and to grow.

At PICHLER projects, we allow each person the opportunity to develop and grow. We place our trust in those who show the skills and interest to take on new responsibilities. We are a close-knit team where everyone’s ideas matter.“
